Based in Baltimore, MD, Brightview Senior Living, LLC opened its first senior living community in Maryland in 1999. Today, Brightview offers over thirty communities in eight states - Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, and Virginia. The communities include Senior Independent Living, Assisted Living, Dementia Care, and Enhanced Care options.

Brightview Senior Living - Arnie Richman

Arnold Richman - Chairman

Arnold I. Richman is Chairman of Brightview Senior Living. Prior to joining Brightview in 1995, Mr. Richman spent 25 years as a partner of Meridian Healthcare, a privately held company that developed and managed nursing homes and related ancillary businesses. At Meridian, Mr. Richman was directly responsible for the management and operations of health care facilities, serving as Vice President of Operations, Executive Vice President and Chairman of the company. During the 1980’s, a period of significant growth for Meridian, Mr. Richman was directly responsible for development and acquisition activities. Mr. Richman is a graduate of the University of Maryland with a B.A. degree in Psychology. Mr. Richman has been involved in a variety of civic activities. He has served as President of the Board of Trustees of The Park School as well as Vice Chairman of the Board and Campaign Chair of The Associated-Jewish Community Federation of Baltimore.  Mr. Richman’s current civic involvement includes serving on the boards of Johns Hopkins Medicine, The Institute for Christian and Jewish Studies, The Baltimore Community Foundation, The Chesapeake Bay Foundation, The Baltimore Equitable Society and Cristo Rey Jesuit High School.

Brightview Senior Living CEO - Marilynn Duker

Marilyn Duker - CEO

Marilynn K. Duker is CEO of Brightview Senior Living. Ms. Duker joined Brightview in 1982. She began her career as a developer and since then, she has been involved in every phase of Brigthview's operations and growth. Ms. Duker became a Partner and President of Shelter Development and Shelter Properties in 1995 and of Brightview Senior Living in 2008. Ms. Duker has overall responsibility for directing both the operations and long term growth of Brightview Senior Living. Ms. Duker serves on the National Investment Center for Seniors Housing (NIC) Operator Advisory Board, the Mercy Health Systems Board of Trustees (Vice Chair), the University of Maryland at Baltimore BioPark Corporation Board of Directors, and The College of Wooster Board of Trustees. She is also a graduate of the Greater Baltimore Committee LEADERship Program. Prior to joining Shelter in 1982, Ms. Duker served as a Presidential Intern at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). She worked in both HUD's Regional and Headquarters offices, as well as for the Boston Housing Authority. Ms. Duker is a graduate of The College of Wooster and holds a Master's Degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Doug Dollenberg

Doug Dollenberg - President

Doug Dollenberg is President of Brightview Senior Living and joined the company in 2017. He began his career as an engineer at Whitman, Requardt and Associates before becoming a consultant at McKinsey & Company. Mr. Dollenberg most recently served on the executive leadership team at TESSCO in Hunt Valley, Maryland, where he led the commercial product management organization for this value-added distributor of wireless products and solutions. Mr. Dollenberg graduated from Bucknell University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering, and earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business.

Brightview Senior Living - Jeff Hettleman

Jeffrey Hettleman - Executive Vice President & CFO

Jeffrey K. Hettleman is Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Brightview Senior Living. Mr. Hettleman leads the finance, accounting and risk management operations across the organization. Prior to joining Brightview in 1994, Mr. Hettleman was an attorney at the law firm of Piper and Marbury in Baltimore, Maryland where he specialized in structuring and closing real estate and corporate transactions. Mr. Hettleman is a leader and very active in the affordable housing industry at the state and national levels. He is deeply involved in the community and serves on the Mayor of Baltimore’s Workgroup on Homelessness. He is also a past President and current member of the Boards of Directors of AFYA Baltimore Inc. (which runs the AFYA, Tunbridge, and Brehms Lane charter schools in Baltimore City) and the Maryland Affordable Housing Coalition. Mr. Hettleman is a graduate of Haverford College and holds a JD from the Yale Law School.

Brightview Senior Living - David Carliner

David Carliner - Executive Vice President

David D. Carliner is an Executive Vice President of Brightview Senior Living. Mr. Carliner’s responsibilities include development and acquisitions of all of the Company’s product lines. Mr. Carliner began his career at Meridian Healthcare, where he ultimately oversaw all aspects of new facility development. During his 12 year tenure, the organization grew from 20 to over 40 facilities. Following the acquisition of Meridian by Genesis Health Ventures, Mr. Carliner worked with New Enterprise Associates to form Elder Health, now called Bravo Health, a Medicare HMO. The Company serves almost 400,000 people today with revenues of approximately $1.6B. David has served as a Commissioner of the Baltimore City Commission on Aging and as President of CHAI, a community based organization focused on supporting seniors in a variety of residential settings. Mr. Carliner holds a B.A. in Psychology from Connecticut College, a Master’s in Health Service Administration from The George Washington University, and a JD from the University of Maryland School of Law.

Brightview Senior Living - David Greydanus

David Greydanus - Executive Vice President & COO

David Greydanus is the Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Brightview Senior Living. As Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Greydanus is responsible for the day-to-day execution of operations and the longer term strategies of the company. Prior to joining Brightview and working in the senior living industry, Mr. Greydanus spent over two decades in the hotel and hospitality industry, including 17 years with Hilton Hotels Worldwide. At Hilton, he had general management leadership and bottom-line accountability for regional, national, and international portfolios of hotels, primarily through his role as Senior Vice President managing Hilton’s Suites Hotel Division. Mr. Greydanus also served as the global head-of-brand for two highly differentiated brands within the Hilton Family of Brands: Embassy Suites Hotels and The Waldorf-Astoria Collection. Mr. Greydanus is a B.A. graduate of Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and serves on the board of the Senior Living Certification Commission.

Brightview Senior Living Management - Andrea Griesmar

Andrea Griesmar - Senior Vice President

Andrea Griesmar serves as Senior Vice President for Brightview Senior Living. In her role, Andrea provides broad human resources oversight for Brightview Senior Living. In addition, she leads a specialty operations team of subject matter experts who provide direction to Brightview communities in the areas of clinical care, dementia care, dining services, learning and development, resident programming, and quality assurance. Prior to joining Shelter, Ms. Griesmar worked for more than 20 years in senior leadership roles in the financial services industry. Ms. Griesmar is a graduate of Purdue University with a B.S. in Organizational Leadership. She currently serves on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors for the South Baltimore Learning Center.

Brian Engle - Senior Vice President

Brian Engle is the Senior Vice President of Brightview Senior Living. Mr. Engle is responsible for the management and overall operations of all of the Brightview communities. Mr. Engle joined The Shelter Group and Brightview Senior Living in 1993. His first roles were in accounting and finance before taking on the role of directing Shelter Properties Senior Housing division. Since the inception of Brightview Senior Living, he has been involved in nearly every phase of Brightview's operation and growth, serving as a Regional Director and Vice President before assuming his current role. After earning his undergraduate degree from Gannon University in 1991, Mr. Engle continued his education with graduate courses at the University of Baltimore’s business school as well as completing a Senior Living Operations Management course from John’s Hopkins University.

Andrew Teeters - Senior Vice President

Andrew Teeters serves as Senior Vice President of Development for Brightview Senior Living. Mr. Teeters’ responsibilities include market feasibility, site selection, obtaining entitlement approvals, and coordinating development and building design for new Brightview communities. Prior to joining Brightview in 2006, Mr. Teeters developed residential communities for two national homebuilders. Mr. Teeters graduated from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
