U.S. News Logos 2026

More than 94 percent of communities voted on as “Best” status by residents and family members

Baltimore, MD (April 14, 2026) – Brightview Senior Living, a senior living owner, operator, and developer with 50 communities along the East Coast, has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report as a 2026 Best Senior Living recipient. Across the industry this year, fewer than half of the senior living communities evaluated by U.S. News earned a Best ranking — yet a remarkable 94 percent of Brightview communities achieved this prestigious distinction. Brightview communities have ranked Best each year that they have partnered with U.S. News & World Report on this annual list for all three categories: Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care.

Now in its fifth year, the 2026 Best Senior Living ratings from U.S. News evaluated consumer-satisfaction surveys for more than 3,000 communities across the United States. Communities were assessed on several key criteria, including resident and family member satisfaction with safety, care, community management, staff, value, and other essential services and amenities.

“We are incredibly proud that 94% of Brightview communities were recognized in the 2026 U.S. News & World Report Best of Senior Living rankings. This honor belongs to our associates, whose passion, compassion, and commitment bring joy and connection to our residents and their families every single day,” said Brightview Senior Living President and CEO Doug Dollenberg, Jr. “At Brightview, we believe that when associates feel supported, valued, and inspired, it shows in the experiences they create. That’s why this recognition, alongside being named one of the Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For, means so much. It reflects the heart of who we are: a community where being a great place to work truly makes us a great place to live.”

U.S. News awards the designation of Best Senior Living only to those communities that meet its objective, data-driven standards, reflecting the feedback of hundreds of thousands of consumers nationwide. The highest-rated communities in each care level earned a Best Senior Living rating.
