From Fenway Park to Brightview Country Club Heights

“I come from a family of chefs, so this is a natural fit,” begins Kris Coppola, Dining Services Director at Brightview Country Club Heights, a senior living community in Woburn, Massachusetts. “My father owns concessions at Fenway Park so I was brought up helping out in the family business.”
“I love it, and I love working here with these incredible residents and associates.”
After an early start in the food service industry, working at the local Café Escadrille in Burlington and earning a culinary degree at Shawsheen Technical High School, Kris trained at Johnson and Wales, a leading culinary school in Rhode Island where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Food Service Management.
From there, he worked as Executive Chef at Hanscom Air Force Base, the Langham Hotel in Boston, Tavern in the Square, North Station, and The Gables in Winchester before delighting residents at Brightview Country Club Heights.
At the community, he and his team focus on providing residents and their guests with great dining experiences, exceptional cuisine, and outstanding service.
You’ll also find him out of the kitchen and in the dining room, chatting with residents and their visitors and learning about them and their food preferences.
“Residents enjoy my family’s ‘gravy’ recipe, a homemade red sauce that I like to serve with eggplant parmesan,” Kris adds. “It is one of my favorite dishes to make for them as well.”
