Resident veterans and spouses of veterans from Brightview Catonsville waved American flags and red, white and blue signs to honor and thank nearly 400 returning service members at Baltimore-Washington International Airport on a crisp autumn afternoon.
Homemade signs, reading “Thank You for Your Service” and “Welcome Home,” greeted service members as they returned home from deployments.
One resident veteran of Brightview Catonsville shook each service member’s hand.
In partnership with Operation Welcome Home, the warm welcome was one of many tributes to salute American troops for their service to the country.
“Residents continue to give back to the community and engage in programs they enjoy and support.” explains Barbara Sigler, Vibrant Living Director. “The resident veterans and spouses of veterans do what they love – continuing the tradition and honor of welcoming soldiers home.”
“We provide high-quality care and support services,” adds Heather Zeiss, Executive Director. “With unrelenting kindness and enthusiasm, residents show us how to live each day to the fullest.”
