Flower Power at Brightview Mays Chapel Ridge

When Lexi Thomas and Abby Levin founded Flowers for Powers in May 2013, they were 6 and 7, respectively. Their mission was simple – to spread joy and happiness with the healing powers of personalized flower arrangements.
Their hearts, however, are huge.
Earlier spring, Lexi and Abby brought their flower power to Brightview Mays Chapel Ridge.
With good cheer and big smiles, the pair brought flower arrangements made the day before at Timber Grove Elementary, where they both went to school. There, they led a discussion about what it takes to start and run a charity – something they know a lot about – and helped students personalize flower arrangements for the residents at Brightview Mays Chapel Ridge.
“When young people and seniors interact, something magical happens,” explained Dori Ray, Vibrant Living Director. “It is truly special. And with Lexi and Abby’s bubbly spirit, it was a great event for everyone. They are inspiring young ladies.”
In addition to senior living communities like Brightview Mays Chapel Ridge, Flowers for Powers also spreads their love and joy to hospitals, nursing homes, cancer centers, hospice centers, and children at the Ronald McDonald House.
