Wellspring Village Residents Craft Handmade Boxes
Back to Top
Wellspring Village residents at Brightview Mt. Laurel love spreading joy and welcoming visitors and new residents to their community. And, with each, they share their creative spirit.
Throughout the year, residents craft intricate origami boxes to welcome visitors and new residents to the community. Delicious, homemade baked goods, including cupcakes, scones, or cookies, or fine chocolates are placed inside once the boxes are complete. A note, detailing the name of the box maker, is also attached to each box.
The 26-step process involves precision as well as a good sense of humor, and they are always well-received.
“This is a great way to showcase the full, engaged, and meaningful lives residents living with dementia lead at Brightview Mt. Laurel,” says Wellspring Village Director Elizabeth Saintil.
“Residents enjoy being part of the warm welcome we give to others.”
